Choosing Your Megastructure

Select a large pre-built structure—a castle, city building, or floating island complex—that has enough interior space for multiple functional rooms. The decorated interiors give you a head start, but you'll need to clear and reorganize areas for your specific needs.

Planning Room Layouts

Designate separate areas for: storage and sorting, crafting stations, furnaces and smelting, farming, and sleeping quarters. The massive interiors of castles and city buildings provide plenty of room to spread out without cramping. Use different floor levels or wings to keep activities organized.

Decorating for Function and Aesthetics

Keep the existing architectural style or completely change it. Since shaders work well with the map's blocks and details, your base will look good whether you use visual add-ons or play vanilla. Add lighting, pathways, and signage to make navigation inside your base intuitive.

Expanding Outward

Once your interior is functional, consider building additions outside the structure or connecting nearby buildings with bridges and tunnels.
