Understanding the New Stronghold Layout

Strongholds in this mod are five times larger than vanilla versions and heavily defended by Illagers. Before entering, gather combat gear, healing items, and blocks for building cover. The portal room is the most dangerous zone—expect concentrated Illager resistance there.

Combat Strategy

Illagers drop useful items that assist in the Ender Dragon fight, so prioritize defeating them rather than rushing past. Use ranged weapons to engage from distance, and create defensive positions with blocks. The expanded fortress layout means more corridors to clear—move methodically and watch for ambushes around corners.

Loot and Progression

Search thoroughly for chests and supplies scattered throughout the stronghold. Collect all Illager drops, as these are specifically designed to help you during the final dragon battle. Once you've cleared the portal chamber and defeated the defending Illagers, you can safely approach the End Portal frame.
