How to Track Potion Durations Without Opening Your Inventory

The Problem the Mod Solves

Vanilla Minecraft shows effect icons in the top-right corner, but those icons never tell you how much time is left. You normally have to open your inventory and read the effect list to see durations. That is dangerous mid-fight or while running from mobs.

Using the Overlay Bars

With this mod, the icons in the top-right corner gain a duration bar along their lower edge. Now you can keep your eyes on the game and still know your remaining time:

1. Glance at the top-right corner during combat, mining, or travel.

2. Check how full each bar is to gauge remaining time.

3. React before a bar empties — drink a potion, retreat, or refresh a beacon effect.

This matters most for effects you rely on for survival, like regeneration, fire resistance, or water breathing. If you are deep underwater and your water breathing bar is nearly empty, you know to surface immediately. If your fire resistance bar is draining in the Nether, you know to re-drink before it runs out. The overlay keeps that information visible at all times without interrupting what you are doing.
