How to Read the Status Effect Duration Bars

Where the Bars Appear

Once the mod is installed, every active status effect you have shows a small horizontal bar. There are two places to look:

• Top-right of your screen: Each effect icon gets a thin bar running along its lower edge. The bar drains from full to empty as the effect runs out.
• Inventory screen: Open your inventory and look at the effect list beside the inventory tab. Each entry there also has a duration bar.

Interpreting What You See

A bar that is nearly full means the effect was just applied or refreshed. A bar that is almost gone means the effect is about to expire. Because the bar is proportional to the remaining time, you can judge at a glance whether you have seconds or minutes left without hovering over anything or opening a menu.

This is especially useful for effects with very different durations. A short effect and a long effect both show a full bar when fresh, so watch how fast each one drains to learn its total length. If you reapply an effect, its bar refills to full, confirming the refresh worked. Use the bars to decide when to drink another potion, eat another golden apple, or step away from a beacon's range before an effect lapses.
