Troubleshoot Missing Starter Kit Items

Verify First-Join Status

The mod only distributes kits to players joining for the first time. If a player claims they didn't receive items, confirm they're actually new to the world. Check server logs or player data to verify.

Check Configuration Validity

If items aren't appearing:

1. Open your configuration file

2. Verify all item IDs are spelled correctly and match valid Minecraft item names

3. Ensure quantities are positive numbers

4. Check for syntax errors (missing colons, brackets, or quotes)

Inventory Space

If a player's inventory is full when they spawn, some items may not be delivered. Have new players clear inventory space before rejoining.

Mod Conflicts

Other mods affecting player spawning or inventory might interfere. Try disabling other mods temporarily to isolate the issue.

Server Restart

After editing the configuration file, always restart your server completely. A simple reload may not apply changes to player spawn logic.

Check Logs

Review your server logs for error messages mentioning Starter Kits—these often indicate configuration problems or item ID mismatches.
