Set Up Custom Keybinds for Entity Counters

Access the Controls Menu

Open your game controls menu from the main settings. Look for the keybind section where all mod controls are listed. Star's Trapping Utils Mod adds separate bindable keys for each counter type—one for minecarts, one for projectiles, one for trap components, and so on.

Assign Keys to Each Counter

Locate each counter option in the controls list. Click on the binding field next to the counter you want to use, then press the key you'd like to assign. Common choices include number keys (1–9), function keys (F1–F12), or modifier combinations.

Assign different keys to different counters so you can toggle them independently while playing. For example, bind minecart counters to one key and armor stand counters to another.

Test Your Bindings

Once saved, load into your world and approach a rail block or target entity. Press your assigned key and verify the HUD display appears with the correct counter active. If the display doesn't show, double-check that the key isn't conflicting with another mod or game function.
