Build and Activate Your First Starry Skies Portal

Gather Your Materials

Collect Packed Ice blocks—you'll need enough to frame a portal similar in size to a Nether portal. You'll also need Flint and Steel to ignite it.

Construct the Portal Frame

Arrange your Packed Ice blocks in a rectangular frame. The exact dimensions follow the same logic as Nether portals: a vertical rectangle with an open center. Place the blocks on the ground and build upward, leaving the interior hollow.

Activate the Portal

Use Flint and Steel on the Packed Ice frame, targeting the interior blocks. If successful, the portal will ignite with a distinctive effect, indicating it's ready for travel.

Enter the Starry Skies Dimension

Walk through the activated portal. You'll be transported to the Starry Skies dimension, where you'll spawn near floating spheres. Be prepared with basic tools and supplies—the dimension contains valuable ores and dungeons, but also hazards like lava.
