Fix Lighting Glitches in Your Create Mod Factory

Identify Lighting Problems

When you build large moving machines with the Create mod, you may notice dark patches that don't update correctly, flickering shadows around rotating parts, or areas that stay lit even after you place blocks. These are the lighting bugs this mod fixes.

How the Mod Helps

Starlight with Create Fix replaces your game's lighting engine with an updated version. This means:

  • Moving Create contraptions no longer cast broken shadows
  • Light updates happen instantly instead of leaving dark spots
  • Your factory stays visually correct as machines rotate and move
  • The game runs faster because light calculations are more efficient

What You Need to Do

Simply having the mod installed in your mods folder is enough. You don't need to configure anything or change world settings. The new lighting system activates automatically when you load your world.

If you're playing multiplayer, only the server needs the mod installed. Other players can join without downloading it themselves, and they'll see the corrected lighting too.

Important: Remove Phosphor

Before starting your game, delete the Phosphor mod if you have it. These two mods conflict and will crash together.
