Create a Minimalist HUD Setup That Doesn't Clutter Your Screen
Plan Your Essential Information
Decide which HUD elements you actually need during gameplay. Most players benefit from:
- Coordinates (for navigation and base-finding)
- FPS (to monitor performance)
- Direction/Facing (to know which way you're looking)
- Biome (optional, but useful for exploration)
Skip elements you don't regularly need—this is StarHUD's main advantage over F3.
Configure and Position Elements
1. Open the HUD configuration menu
2. Enable only your chosen elements
3. Position each one in a different corner or edge to avoid overlap
4. Use consistent text sizing and colors for a cohesive look
5. Test your layout during actual gameplay
Refine Over Time
Your ideal setup may change as you play different activities. Mining benefits from coordinates; building benefits from direction; exploration benefits from biome info. Adjust your HUD configuration as needed. The beauty of StarHUD is that you're not forced to see everything at once—you control exactly what information appears and where.
