Finding and Using Your First Stargate

Craft a Stargate Eye using an Ender Pearl and Shulker Shell to locate natural stargate structures. Search ancient cities, desert pyramids, jungle temples, and pillager outposts for a Stargate Address Book—this stores multiple destination addresses.

Place the address book on the Stargate Control Panel next to the gate. The portal ring will glow and activate. Walk through the center to travel to your destination world.

Each world has unique hazards: Melted worlds require Fire Resistance potions, Dark dimensions need Night Vision, Frozen realms slow movement (countered by Leather or Frost Walker boots), and Ocean worlds reduce mining speed without Water Breathing or Depth Strider. Desert worlds cause fast hunger during day unless you wear Gold armor. Wellspring waters drain XP and burn you without Fire Resistance.

Supply chests spawn next to gates with items suited to each world's dangers.
