Starting Your Skyblock Journey

The Standard Skyblock Mod generates an endless empty world where you begin on a small floating island in the sky. Your starter island contains dirt, grass, a tree, and a chest holding ice and a lava bucket. Use these to establish the basics: melt the ice for water, place the lava carefully to create cobblestone, and grow the tree for wood.

A nearby floating sand island provides a cactus and a chest with rare items such as seeds. This gives you an early boost toward farming.

Because the mod matches a normal world's seed, biomes and hidden structure locations stay the same. Structures like ocean monuments, strongholds, witch huts, and nether fortresses generate at their usual coordinates, but in the empty sky. Elder guardians from monuments fall into the void, and strongholds place End portal blocks in the air, so you can still reach the End and finish the game.
