Common Rendering Problems

If your map appears blank, loads slowly, or shows incomplete terrain:

Check Server Logs First

1. Review your server console output during startup — Squaremap logs errors there

2. Look for messages about file permissions, port conflicts, or rendering failures

3. Verify the mod loaded successfully without exceptions

Verify Basic Setup

• Confirm the correct IP and port in your browser

• Try refreshing the browser page
• Clear your browser cache if the map appears outdated

Reset and Rebuild

If problems persist:

1. Stop your server

2. Delete the map data/cache folder (location varies by server type)

3. Restart the server to regenerate the map from scratch
