Access Your World Map from a Browser
Finding Your Map URL
Once Squaremap is installed and your server has started, the map is automatically being rendered and served. You need to know two things to access it:
- Your server's IP address or domain — this is what you use to connect to the server in Minecraft
- The port number — defaults to 8080, but check your config file if you changed it
Connecting to the Map
1. Open a web browser on any device connected to your network (or the internet, if your server is public)
2. Enter the URL: http://your-ip:8080 (replace your-ip with your actual IP or domain)
3. The map will load, showing a top-down view of your world in vanilla rendering style
Troubleshooting Access
If the page won't load:
- Verify the IP and port are correct in your browser
- Check that your server is running
- Confirm the port isn't blocked by your firewall or hosting provider
- Review your server logs for startup errors
The map updates automatically as players explore and build, so you can refresh the browser to see changes.
