Enable Dynmap to Use SQLite Storage
Install and Configure
Dynmap can use SQLite JDBC Mod as its storage backend instead of flat files or external databases. With this mod installed, Dynmap gains access to the SQLite driver automatically.
1. Install both SQLite JDBC Mod and Dynmap
2. Open Dynmap's configuration file
3. Look for storage or database settings and select SQLite as the storage type
4. Specify a database file path (e.g., dynmap.db in your server directory)
5. Restart your server
Verify the Connection
Check your server logs for any connection errors. If Dynmap successfully connects, you'll see database initialization messages. The mod handles all driver loading behind the scenes—you won't see explicit JDBC initialization steps.
Using SQLite keeps your map data local and eliminates the need for a separate database server, making it ideal for single-server setups or testing environments.
