Use Sponge API Commands In-Game

Access Basic Commands

Most Sponge servers have built-in commands available to players and administrators. Common commands include:

  • /plugins or /sponge plugins — lists all active plugins
  • /version — shows server and Sponge version information
  • /help — displays available commands

Administrators can often access /sponge reload to reload plugins without restarting.

Run Plugin-Specific Commands

Each plugin adds its own commands. Check the plugin's documentation for the exact syntax. Commands typically follow the pattern /pluginname action [arguments]. For example, a teleportation plugin might use /warp set or /home list.

Check Your Permissions

If a command doesn't work, you may lack the required permission. Ask your server administrator to grant the appropriate permission node. Administrators can verify permissions using permission management plugins or by checking the server's permission configuration files.
