How to Increase Spell Damage with Spell Power
What Spell Power Is
Spell Engine does not use a fixed damage number per spell. Instead, spells scale with the Spell Power entity attribute. Your spell damage is calculated from that attribute, so raising Spell Power raises the damage (or healing) of every spell you cast.
Raising Spell Power
Spell Power is an attribute, so it is modified the same way as other attributes:
- Gear: Armor, robes, rings, amulets, and weapons from content mods often grant Spell Power as an attribute modifier. Equip pieces that list a Spell Power bonus in their tooltip.
- Attribute modifiers: Any item, effect, or enchantment that adds to the Spell Power attribute stacks into your total. Check your character/attributes screen to see the current value.
- Buffs: Some status effects or set bonuses from content mods temporarily boost Spell Power.
Practical Tips
Because damage scales off the attribute, a weak spell on high Spell Power can out-damage a strong spell on low Spell Power. Prioritize Spell Power gear over raw spell variety when you want more damage. Re-check your attributes after swapping gear, since removing a piece drops your Spell Power immediately.
