Prepare Your Base Against Special Mobs

Defensive Building

Special Mobs spawn like normal creatures, so standard mob-proofing applies:

• Light up your base with torches, lanterns, or other light sources to prevent spawning
• Build walls and barriers at least 2 blocks high to keep mobs out
• Use fences or gates to create secure perimeters
• Eliminate dark corners inside your base where mobs could spawn

Enhanced Precautions

Since Special Mobs are tougher than vanilla mobs, consider extra defenses:

• Increase wall height to 3+ blocks for added security
• Create kill chambers with fall damage or suffocation traps if you want to farm drops safely
• Maintain clear sightlines around your base so you can spot threats early
• Keep weapons and armor accessible near entrances

Interior Safety

If a Special Mob somehow enters your base, ensure you have:

• Multiple escape routes
• Doors you can close to compartmentalize areas
• High ground positions where you can attack safely

Regularly check your lighting and perimeter—gaps in defenses are how dangerous mobs get inside.
