Configure Respawn Behavior After Player Death

Controlling Where Players Respawn

Spawn Plugin lets you decide whether players return to their bed/respawn anchor or always teleport back to the global spawn point when they die. This is useful for maintaining server flow and preventing players from being stranded.

Configuration Options

The plugin can be set to:

  • Always teleport to spawn on death, ignoring any bed or respawn anchor the player has set
  • Respect bed/respawn anchor spawns and only send players to spawn if they have no valid bed or anchor
  • Apply a teleport delay so players don't instantly vanish after dying—they see a countdown before being moved

Customizing the Experience

You can enable a blindness effect during the teleport delay to prevent players from seeing their surroundings change mid-teleport. You can also add particles and sound effects to make the respawn feel more polished.

These settings are configured in the plugin's configuration file and can be toggled on or off entirely. Administrators with the appropriate permissions can bypass these rules if needed.
