Restoring a Sound You Accidentally Disabled
Locating Disabled Entries
If you muted something and later want it back, you do not need to reset the whole config. Open the Sounds Be Gone configuration screen and look for a filter or toggle that shows disabled/muted sounds — many list-based configs let you view only the entries you have changed. If your version does not have such a filter, use the search box and type the sound name you remember disabling.
Re-enabling the Sound
Once you find the entry, toggle it back to the enabled state. The sound should return immediately without a game restart. If you genuinely cannot remember what you disabled, the safest approach is to reset the mod's sound list to defaults, which re-enables everything, and then re-mute only the sounds you actually dislike. Check your config file location if the in-game screen is unclear — the mod stores its list of disabled sounds there, and you can read it to see exactly what is currently muted.
Avoiding Repeat Mistakes
Keep a short note of which sounds you disable and why, especially for sounds with generic names that are hard to identify later. If you share a world or modpack with others, remember your sound config is client-side, so your changes do not affect other players — but they also will not transfer if you move to a different instance without copying the config.
