Troubleshoot Sorting Not Working

Verify the Mod is Active

1. Open your inventory screen

2. Look for the sort button (if enabled) or try your configured keybind

3. If nothing happens, the mod may not be loaded

Check Your Preferences

Run /sortitout preferences and confirm:

• At least one sorting method is enabled (button, keybind, or double-click)
• Your keybind isn't conflicting with another mod's hotkey
• The sort button is visible and clickable on your inventory screen

Server-Side Issues

On multiplayer servers:

• Confirm the server has the mod installed (ask your admin)
• Check that you have permission to use sorting commands
• Verify the server hasn't disabled sorting in its configuration

Reset to Defaults

If preferences are corrupted, reset them through the preferences menu. This restores default sorting behavior and button placement. Then reconfigure your preferred settings.
