Understanding Item Upgrades in Storage Addons

What Are Item Upgrades?

Sophisticated Core Mod provides the upgrade framework that storage addons use to enhance their containers. Upgrades modify how your storage blocks behave—improving capacity, adding filtering, enabling automation, or changing how items are organized.

How to Use Upgrades

1. Craft or obtain an upgrade item from your storage addon mod

2. Open your storage container's menu

3. Locate the upgrade slot (usually a dedicated area in the interface)

4. Place the upgrade into the slot

5. The upgrade activates immediately; you'll see the container's behavior change

Upgrades stack—you can typically install multiple upgrades in a single container to combine their effects. Check your storage addon's documentation for which upgrades work together and how many slots are available.

Removing Upgrades

Click the upgrade in its slot to remove it. The upgrade item returns to your inventory, and the container reverts to its previous state. This lets you swap upgrades between containers without losing them.
