Improve Frame Rates on Low-End Graphics Cards
Identify Performance Bottlenecks
Use F3 debug screen to monitor frame times. If GPU usage is high but CPU usage is low, shader settings are the issue. SolisLite is designed to run efficiently, so problems usually stem from overly aggressive settings.
Reduce GPU Load
Disable advanced shadows: Shadow mapping is beautiful but expensive. Set shadow quality to low or disable dynamic shadows entirely.
Lower reflection quality: If SolisLite includes water or reflective surface options, reduce their resolution.
Decrease particle effects: Disable or minimize shader-enhanced particles and weather effects.
Reduce render distance: On integrated graphics, keeping render distance at 6–8 chunks is realistic. Pair this with fog settings to maintain visual appeal.
Monitor Results
After each adjustment, observe frame rates in demanding areas: large open fields, water bodies, and complex terrain. SolisLite's pure GPU math approach means these tweaks directly impact performance. Target 30 FPS as a baseline on budget hardware; anything above is a bonus.
