Balance Visual Quality with Performance

Understand SolisLite's Design Philosophy

SolisLite prioritizes smooth performance over maximum visual fidelity. The shader uses efficient GPU calculations to deliver clean fantasy lighting without memory waste, making it ideal for systems where other shaders cause stuttering.

Find Your Quality Sweet Spot

Start conservative: Begin with low-to-medium settings across all options. This establishes a stable baseline.

Incrementally enable features: Gradually increase shadow quality, lighting detail, and effects one at a time. Test for 5 minutes after each change to ensure stability.

Prioritize what matters: Decide whether you prefer better shadows, smoother frame rates, or enhanced colors. Enable only the features that matter to your experience.

Test in Varied Environments

Evaluate performance in:

  • Open plains (high GPU load from distant rendering)
  • Dense forests (complex geometry and shadows)
  • Underground caves (lighting calculations)
  • Water areas (reflection rendering)

If any environment drops below your target frame rate, dial back the most demanding setting. SolisLite's clean aesthetic remains appealing even at lower quality tiers.
