Adjust Shader Settings for Your Hardware
Access Shader Options
Open your Minecraft settings and locate the Shaders option in the Video Settings menu. Select SolisLite Shaders from the list to open its configuration panel.
Key Settings to Tweak
Shadow Quality: Lower this setting if you're experiencing frame rate drops. Reducing shadow resolution frees up GPU resources without drastically changing visual quality.
View Distance: Match this to your hardware capability. On budget laptops, keeping view distance moderate (8–12 chunks) maintains smooth performance while preserving visibility.
Lighting Detail: SolisLite offers options to simplify light calculations. Disabling advanced ambient occlusion or reducing light bounce passes can recover 5–10 FPS on weaker cards.
Bloom/Glow Effects: Toggle these off if frame rates dip below your target. These are cosmetic and don't affect gameplay.
Test and Refine
After each change, spend 2–3 minutes in-game observing frame rates in different environments (caves, open sky, forests). Adjust incrementally until you reach stable performance. SolisLite's GPU-focused design means most adjustments take effect immediately without reloading.
