Cooking With Sunlight

The Solar Cooker Mod adds three things: the Reflector, the Shining Block of Diamond, and the Solar Cooker itself. Together they form a small cooking setup that runs on reflected sunlight instead of fuel.

The Reflector is the part that gathers light. Place Reflectors so their reflected sunlight is directed at a Solar Cooker, then place food in the Solar Cooker to cook it. The Shining Block of Diamond is the light source tied to this process — it is what the Reflectors bounce light from, so the setup needs it present to work.

Because the mechanic depends on sunlight, cooking only happens under open sky during the day. At night or under a roof there is nothing to reflect, so the Solar Cooker will not cook. Build your Reflectors and Shining Block of Diamond outdoors, aim the reflected light at the Solar Cooker, and let the sun do the rest.
