How to Find Any Setting Fast Using the Search Bar

The search bar is the single biggest quality-of-life upgrade this mod brings to Sodium's options. Instead of hunting through tabs and pages, you type what you want and the screen filters down to matching entries.

Using Search Effectively

1. Open the Sodium video options screen (the one this mod replaces).

2. Click into the search bar at the top of the screen.

3. Type a keyword related to the setting you want — for example a word from the option's name, like "clouds", "fog", "particles", or "quality".

4. The visible options narrow to only those matching your text. Clear the bar to restore the full list.

Tips for Better Results

  • Search matches against option names, so use the words that actually appear on the sliders and toggles rather than vague descriptions.
  • If you get no results, try a shorter fragment of the word instead of the whole thing.
  • Combine search with the scrollable tabs: search first to jump to the right area, then browse the tab for related settings you didn't know existed.
  • Remember that some options live in separate tabs (especially if you also run Sodium Extra). If a search comes up empty, check whether the setting belongs to a different tab or a different mod's screen entirely.

Once you've found your setting, you can adjust it normally — and if it's a slider, try the SHIFT-scroll trick described in the other guides here.
