Create Smooth Snow Slopes on Hills
Understand Snow Layer Placement
The data pack automatically places smooth snow layers across uneven terrain, replacing harsh blocky transitions with gradual slopes. These layers form naturally on hillsides and mountain faces in snowy biomes without requiring manual placement.
Navigate to Mountainous Terrain
Travel to a snowy mountain or steep hill in your world. The mod works best in areas with significant elevation changes. Look at the slopes—you should see snow layers stacked at varying heights, creating a smooth, natural gradient down the hillside rather than flat, angular snow blocks.
Adjust Biome Blend for Better Results
If slopes appear blocky or unfinished, return to Video Settings and confirm Biome Blend is at maximum. This setting is crucial for smooth transitions. You may also need to move away and return to the area to allow chunks to reload with the proper snow layer distribution. Walk around the mountain to observe how the smooth slopes wrap around peaks and valleys.
