Using Snowballs to Knock Back Attacking Mobs

Gathering Snowballs

Snowballs are your first line of defense against melee mobs. Collect them by breaking snow blocks in snowy biomes, or craft them from snow blocks. Keep a stack in your hotbar when exploring dangerous areas.

Effective Knockback Technique

When a mob like a Zombie or Creeper approaches you:

1. Switch to your snowball stack

2. Aim at the mob and throw by right-clicking

3. The snowball will deal knockback, pushing the mob away from you

4. Use this distance to escape, heal, or prepare a counterattack

Combat Strategy

Snowballs work best when you're outnumbered or low on health. Throw them in rapid succession to keep mobs at bay while you retreat to higher ground or a defensible position. Since snowballs deal minimal damage, focus on using them purely for crowd control rather than as your primary damage source.

This mod makes snowballs especially valuable in early-game survival when you lack better weapons or armor. Keep your snowball supply topped up before venturing into caves or night exploration.
