How to Stop Snow Under Trees From Affecting Warm Biomes

The problem

If snow is showing up under trees in biomes that should never be snowy, the mod's temperature threshold is set too high, or you are using a modpack where another mod alters biome temperatures. Snow Under Trees decides whether to place snow based on the biome's temperature at generation time.

Tightening the threshold

1. Close the game and open the Snow Under Trees config file.

2. Locate the biome temperature setting. Lower it so only the coldest biomes qualify.

3. Save and restart.

4. Generate new chunks in a warm biome to confirm no snow appears.

If another mod is the cause

Some biome or worldgen mods change temperature values, which can push a normally-warm biome below the mod's threshold. Check your biome mod's config for temperature overrides. You can also add specific biomes to a blacklist if your version of Snow Under Trees supports one.

Quick test

Create a throwaway world, teleport to a jungle or desert, and look under a tree. If snow appears there, your threshold is still too permissive. Adjust and retest before applying to your main world.
