Identify if an Item Has a Hidden Curse

Since curses are hidden from tooltips in this mod, you'll need to rely on subtle indicators:

• Red item name: If an item's name appears in red text on the tooltip, it contains at least one hidden curse. This is your primary warning sign.
• Missing enchantment glint: Items that only have curses (and no regular enchantments) will not display the usual shimmering glint effect. A completely non-glowing item that seems suspicious may be cursed.

What You Won't See

Unlike vanilla Minecraft, curse names like Curse of Binding or Curse of Vanishing will not appear in the tooltip at all. You cannot read which specific curse is present—only that *something* is wrong.

Next Steps

If you suspect an item is cursed, avoid equipping it until you're certain you want to deal with its effects. Consider using an anvil to combine it with other items, or store it safely until you decide whether to keep it.
