Troubleshooting Texture Glitches and Rendering Issues
Common Rendering Problems
Occasionally, textures may appear corrupted, misaligned, or fail to load properly. These issues are usually fixable without reinstalling the pack.
Quick Fixes
1. Reload the resource pack – Go to Resource Packs, disable SMP Basics, apply changes, then re-enable it. This forces a fresh texture load.
2. Clear your cache – Close Minecraft entirely, then delete the resourcepacks folder cache (if your launcher maintains one). Restart and reload.
3. Check for conflicts – Disable all other resource packs and mods temporarily. If glitches disappear, a conflict exists; re-enable packs one at a time to identify the culprit.
4. Verify file integrity – If you suspect a corrupted download, delete the pack and re-download it.
5. Adjust video settings – Lower Mipmap Levels or disable Anisotropic Filtering if textures appear blurry or misaligned at distance.
6. Test in a new world – Load a fresh world to confirm whether glitches are pack-related or world-specific.
If issues persist after these steps, ensure your Minecraft version matches the pack's compatibility. SMP Basics is version-specific, and mismatches cause rendering failures.
