Making Long Mod Lists and Server Lists Easier to Navigate
Why long lists benefit most
The smoother animation matters most where the list is far longer than the visible area — mod lists, server lists, keybind lists, and the recipe book. On these screens a single wheel notch can jump many entries in vanilla, which makes it easy to overshoot the entry you wanted.
Practical navigation tips
1. Scroll in short bursts rather than spinning the wheel hard. Because the mod eases the thumb toward its target, small inputs give you finer control over where you land.
2. Use the scrollbar thumb for big jumps and the wheel for fine adjustment. Drag the thumb close to your target, then wheel the last few entries.
3. In searchable lists, type in the search box first. A filtered list is short enough that scrolling barely matters, and it avoids the animation entirely.
4. When a list has categories or tabs, switch tabs instead of scrolling through everything.
Keeping it consistent
Because the mod applies to any screen using the vanilla scrollbar, your muscle memory carries over between the creative inventory, config screens, and server lists. If one screen behaves differently, that screen is using a custom scrollbar and you will need to scroll it the old way.
