How to Enable Smooth Scrolling on Every Minecraft Menu

What the mod actually changes

Smooth Scrolling Refurbished does not add a new scrollbar widget you have to place anywhere. Instead it replaces the vanilla scrollbar behaviour globally, so every screen that already uses a scrollbar — the creative inventory, the recipe book, server lists, resource pack and shader selection screens, advancements, statistics, and mod config menus — inherits the smoother animation automatically once the mod is loaded.

Confirming it is active

1. Launch the game with the mod in your mods folder and open any long list, such as the creative inventory tabs or the resource pack screen.

2. Drag the scrollbar thumb or use the mouse wheel. You should see the thumb ease toward its target position instead of snapping instantly.

3. If a particular screen still feels choppy, that screen is likely drawing its own custom scrollbar rather than using the vanilla widget, so the mod cannot override it.

Getting the best feel

  • Use the mouse wheel for the smoothest result; the mod interpolates the scroll offset over several frames.
  • Avoid clicking the track repeatedly, since each click retargets the animation and can look jittery.
  • If another UI mod rewrites the same screens, load order can matter — try moving Smooth Scrolling Refurbished so it applies after the conflicting mod.
