Fixing Choppy or Stuttering Scrolling After Installing the Mod

Rule out the obvious causes

If scrolling still looks choppy, the mod is usually working but something else is limiting your frame rate. The smooth animation is rendered over multiple frames, so a low or unstable FPS makes it look like stutter.

1. Open the vanilla video settings and check your frame rate while scrolling a long list.

2. Lower render distance, simulation distance, or fancy graphics temporarily to see whether the scrolling smooths out. If it does, the problem is performance, not the mod.

3. Disable any other mod that changes GUI rendering, scrolling, or animations one at a time, then retest.

Screens the mod cannot smooth

Some interfaces draw their own scroll handling instead of using the vanilla scrollbar widget. These include certain heavily customised mod menus and any screen that implements its own drag logic. On those screens the scrollbar will keep its original behaviour no matter what you do.

When it is a conflict, not a bug

Two UI mods touching the same widget often fight over which one controls the thumb position. If scrolling jumps, overshoots, or snaps back, remove or reorder the other UI mod and test again. Keep a copy of your config so you can restore your setup if the change does not help.
