Checking Whether Smooth Scrolling Refurbished Is Actually Working

A quick visual test

You do not need a config screen to verify the mod. Open the resource pack selection screen or the creative inventory and flick the mouse wheel once.

  • Working: the scrollbar thumb glides toward its new position over a short moment and settles smoothly.
  • Not working: the thumb teleports instantly to the new position with no in-between frames, exactly like unmodded Minecraft.

If it looks like it is not working

1. Confirm the mod file is present in your mods folder and that it loaded without an error in the log.

2. Check that you are testing a screen with a vanilla scrollbar. Screens with custom scroll handling will always look unsmoothed.

3. Temporarily remove other UI or performance mods and retest on the same screen.

4. If you use a mod loader profile, make sure you launched that profile and not a vanilla or different-modloader profile.

What the mod does not do

It does not add a settings menu, keybinds, or a scroll speed slider. It has no items, blocks, or recipes. Its only job is to replace the default scrollbar animation, so if you are looking for a config option to tune it, there is not one — the behaviour is applied automatically wherever the vanilla scrollbar is used.
