How Smooth Gui Mod Works
Smooth GUI Transitions
Smooth Gui Mod is a small client-side mod that changes how graphical user interfaces appear on screen. In vanilla Minecraft, GUI screens tend to pop into view instantly. This mod replaces that abrupt appearance with a smooth transition effect.
The main feature is a fade-up animation: when you open a GUI, instead of appearing all at once, the screen eases into view. This applies to the GUI screens you open during normal play, giving the interface a softer, more fluid feel.
The mod is purely cosmetic. It does not add new items, blocks, or gameplay mechanics, and it does not change what any GUI does — only how it looks as it opens. Because the change is visual and client-side, it is meant to make the game feel more comfortable to play rather than to alter gameplay.
If you prefer the original instant GUI appearance, the mod's effect is the only thing it changes, so removing it restores the default behavior.
