The Smithing Template Viewer helps you understand how the smithing table combines templates, base armor, and materials before you invest resources.

What the Preview Shows

1. Open any smithing template in the viewer

2. Observe that the template defines the *pattern* (the shape and placement of the trim)

3. Notice that changing the base armor changes only the gear type, not the pattern itself

4. See that changing the material changes only the *color* of the trim, not its shape

5. Understand that you need all three components: template + armor + material

Planning Your Crafting

By experimenting in the viewer, you'll learn that:

• Each template has one fixed pattern design
• Any armor type can receive any trim
• Material choice is purely cosmetic
