What Smelting Plus Changes

Smelting Plus Mod reworks how recycling works at the furnace. In vanilla, smelting down tools and armor only returns a single nugget of the material. With this mod, you get a full ingot back instead, so breaking down old gear is actually worthwhile.

This applies to items made of iron, gold, diamond, and netherite. For example, smelting an iron pickaxe or a piece of iron armor gives you an iron ingot rather than an iron nugget, and the same idea applies to gold, diamond, and netherite gear. Iron horse armor is included as well.

Furnaces and Timing

Both the regular furnace and the blast furnace support these recipes, so you can use whichever you already have.

One thing to plan around: smelting diamond and netherite items takes longer than smelting iron and gold ones. If you are processing a lot of high-tier gear, expect it to tie up your furnace for a while.
