Automate Netherite Scrap Smelting with Hoppers

Creating an Automated System

Set up hoppers and furnaces to automatically smelt Netherite Scrap without manual intervention. This is especially useful when you have large quantities of scrap to process.

Basic Automation Setup

1. Place a Furnace or Blast Furnace as your smelting station

2. Position a hopper above the furnace's input slot, pointing downward

3. Place another hopper below the furnace's output slot, pointing into a storage chest

4. Load Netherite Scrap into the top hopper

5. Add fuel to the furnace's fuel slot manually or use a fuel hopper on the side

6. Scrap will automatically feed into the furnace and finished ingots will flow to storage

Fuel Management

For continuous operation, set up a separate hopper system to feed fuel. Use a hopper pointing into the fuel slot of your furnace. This allows you to load fuel once and let the system run until your scrap supply is exhausted.
