Use Initials to Complete Commands Faster
How Initials Work
Smart Completion Mod lets you type just the first letter of each word in a command, and it will suggest the full command. This dramatically speeds up typing in chat.
Steps
1. Open your chat bar (default: T key)
2. Type a forward slash / to start a command
3. Type the initials of the command words you want. For example:
/gr dc tsuggests/gamerule doDaylightCycle true/e s @ssuggests/effect set @s
4. As you type, matching suggestions appear below your text
5. Press Tab or + (configurable) to accept the highlighted suggestion
6. Press Enter to execute the command
Tips
- You don't need to type every word—just enough initials for the mod to narrow down matches
- If multiple suggestions appear, use arrow keys to navigate between them
- The mod works with vanilla commands, modded commands, datapacks, and server plugins
- Experiment with different initial combinations to find what's fastest for your most-used commands
