Switch Between Different Crosshair Styles

Understanding Resource Pack Variants

If the Small X Crosshair pack includes multiple crosshair style options, they may be organized as separate texture files or selectable variants within the pack's configuration.

Accessing Crosshair Variants

Open your resource pack folder and check the assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ directory for multiple crosshair files. Some packs label them clearly (e.g., crosshair_x.png, crosshair_dot.png, crosshair_plus.png).

To switch styles:

1. Rename your current crosshair file to disable it (add .disabled to the filename)

2. Rename your preferred alternative crosshair file to the active name

3. Reload the resource pack in-game

Quick Switching

For easier experimentation, create backup copies of each crosshair variant. This lets you quickly swap between styles by renaming files without searching through backups each time. Test each variant during actual gameplay—combat, building, and PvP—to find what feels most natural for your playstyle.
