Preparing for Mining

Before venturing underground to mine, gather essential tools from your base storage:

• A pickaxe (stone or better)
• Torches for lighting
• Food for sustenance
• A sword for mob defense
• Blocks for building escape routes

Starting Your Mine

From the underground house, dig downward or horizontally into the surrounding stone. Place torches along your path to prevent getting lost and to keep mobs from spawning in dark areas. Mark your route clearly so you can find your way back to the base.

Mining Strategy

Use efficient mining techniques like branch mining or strip mining to expose more ore. Common ores appear at different depths—dig deeper for valuable materials. Always listen for mob sounds and be ready to retreat to your base if threatened.

Returning to Safety

When your inventory fills or you feel unsafe, follow your torch trail back to the underground house. Store collected ores in your designated storage chests.

Expanding Your Mine

Over time, create a larger mining operation connected to your base, turning it into a secure underground complex with multiple tunnels and resource areas.
