Prepare for Your First Night Away from the Cabin

Gathering Essential Supplies

Before leaving your cabin, craft a bed using the crafting table—you'll need wool and planks. Pack it in your inventory along with torches, a pickaxe, a sword, and food from your farm. The cabin's storage provides everything you need.

Building a Temporary Shelter

When night falls far from home, quickly build a small box using dirt or wood blocks. Make it at least 2 blocks tall and seal the entrance. Place torches inside to prevent mob spawning. This temporary shelter only needs to last until morning.

Using Your Bed Safely

Place your bed inside the shelter and sleep through the night. This sets your spawn point, so if you die, you'll return here instead of the cabin. Remove the bed before leaving so you can carry it to your next location.

Returning Home

At dawn, break down your shelter and collect the blocks. Follow your torch trail or landmarks back to the cabin. Store any collected materials in the chests and restock your supplies before your next expedition.
