Fix Crashes Caused by Invalid Option Values
Why Crashes Happen
Slyde Mod lets you bypass safety limits, but some options (like resolution) have hard technical limits. Setting values outside valid ranges causes crashes.
Recovery Steps
1. If the game crashes on launch, locate your mod config file (usually in .minecraft/config/ or a mod-specific folder)
2. Open the config in a text editor
3. Find the problematic setting (e.g., resolution width/height) and restore it to a safe value
4. Save and restart Minecraft
Prevention Tips
- Test extreme values one at a time, not all at once
- Keep notes of which settings work and which cause issues
- Resolution should match or be close to your monitor's capabilities
- Start with small increments when pushing limits
- Back up your config file before experimenting with unfamiliar options
- If unsure whether a value is safe, research it or ask in community forums first
