Understand How Slumber Affects Your Game World
What Freezes and What Doesn't
Slumber Mod pauses all server-side processes when frozen, but it's important to understand what this means for your world and machines.
Processes That Pause
- Mob behavior: All mobs stop moving, attacking, and spawning
- Redstone circuits: Repeaters, comparators, and logic gates halt
- Furnaces and machines: Smelting, cooking, and crafting stop
- Crop growth: Wheat, trees, and other plants don't grow
- Fluid flow: Water and lava stop moving
- Decay and spreading: Fire, mycelium, and vines don't spread
Important Considerations
Planning your farms and contraptions around freezing is crucial. If you have:
- Automatic farms: They won't produce while frozen — disable the mod if you need offline production
- Redstone clocks: They'll resume from their frozen state when players return
- Time-sensitive builds: Consider whether they need continuous operation
Player Experience
When players rejoin, everything resumes instantly. There's no lag spike or reset — the world simply continues from where it paused.
