How to Unlock and Use Sword Arts

Charging Your Blade

Sword Arts are the special attacks unique to each katana in this mod. To perform one, equip your blade and hold Right-Click to begin charging. You'll see visual feedback as energy builds up in your weapon. Release Right-Click when ready to unleash the attack.

Unlocking Passive Effects

Each blade becomes more powerful as you accumulate Proud Souls by defeating mobs. Your kill count directly increases your Proud Soul tier. As you reach higher tiers, passive bonuses and special perks automatically activate during combat—you don't need to manually trigger these. They enhance your damage, speed, or utility depending on the weapon.

Tips for Combat

• Different blades have different Sword Art patterns. Nine-Tailed Fox summons falling phantom swords, while Chieri Yukimura unleashes rapid frost slashes.
• Charge time may vary by weapon—experiment to find the right moment to release.
• Combine charged Sword Arts with your passive effects for maximum impact. Higher Proud Soul tiers make your special attacks more devastating.
• Use the unique mechanics of each blade: Hollow Husk's lock-on, Sakura's aerial positioning, or Rice-Loving Big Fish's wave surges.
