Troubleshoot Floating Blocks and Redstone Issues
Identifying Unsupported Blocks
Some blocks may still float on slabs despite the mod's features. Doors, carpets, banners, and beds can behave unexpectedly in certain deep block arrangements. If you encounter floating items, try:
- Adjusting the slab height or position
- Using alternative block types nearby
- Checking if blocks from other mods are causing conflicts
Redstone Dust Behavior
Redstone dust may act strangely when traveling up and down lowered steps created by the mod. If your redstone isn't connecting properly:
- Test redstone on flat surfaces first
- Avoid running redstone directly across multiple slab levels
- Use repeaters to bridge gaps if needed
Mod Compatibility Issues
Blocks from large mods with custom shapes might not align perfectly with slab-placed items initially. If you notice misalignment:
- Check if the mod has updates available
- Report the specific mod combination causing issues
- Use vanilla blocks as workarounds in problem areas
Most issues resolve naturally as the mod and other mods update. Document which combinations cause problems for future reference.
