Adjust Shader Settings for Better Performance

Access the Shader Menu

Press Shift + O while in-game to open the Skylumine Shaders configuration screen. This menu lets you fine-tune visual quality to match your computer's power.

Key Settings to Adjust

Shadow Quality: Lower this if you're experiencing frame drops. Reducing shadow detail maintains the shader's look while improving performance.

Water Reflections: Toggle reflection intensity down if water rendering feels heavy. The shader will still show clear water, just with less mirror-like detail.

Ambient Occlusion: This darkens crevices and corners. Disabling or reducing it gives a modest performance boost without breaking the vanilla feel.

Bloom/Glow Effects: Reduce bloom intensity if bright areas feel too washed out or if performance dips near light sources.

Testing Your Changes

After each adjustment, spend a few minutes in different environments—caves, surface, water—to see the visual impact. Look for the balance point where the world still looks good but your frame rate stays smooth. You can always revisit these settings later as you get more comfortable with the mod.
