Expand Your Base with Limited Resources

Understanding Your Resource Constraints

The SkyLand Origins Map intentionally limits your starting materials. Your oak tree provides wood, the starter chest gives you initial supplies, and the sand island offers sand blocks. Every block matters when building in the sky.

Strategic Expansion Steps

1. Prioritize essential structures: a safe shelter, storage area, and crafting station

2. Use wood efficiently—don't waste it on decorative builds until you have surplus

3. Collect sand from the sand island for alternative building blocks

4. Once you access the hidden generators, use iron to craft better tools for faster resource gathering

5. Consider vertical building to maximize space on your limited islands

Long-Term Growth

As you gather more resources from generators and farming, gradually expand outward. Build additional platforms connected by bridges or pathways. Create separate areas for different purposes: farming, storage, crafting, and sleeping. The void below means every platform must be intentionally built—there's no natural terrain to fall back on. Plan your expansions carefully to avoid running out of blocks mid-project.
