How to Hide Annoying Chat Messages in Hypixel SkyBlock with SkyHanni

SkyHanni's chat filter is the fastest way to declutter your chat window. It targets the spammy system messages that flood the Hub and other areas.

Enabling the Chat Filter

Open the SkyHanni config with /sh (or through the Mod Menu if you use one). Navigate to the Chat category, then find the Chat Filter section. Toggle the main filter on, then expand it to see individual message types you can suppress.

What You Can Hide

Each toggle controls a specific message family. Common ones include:

• MVP / rank join messages — the "Player joined the lobby" lines.
• Loot box and reward broadcasts from other players.
• Prototype lobby messages and rotating tips.
• Radiating Generosity notifications.
• Hypixel tournament announcements.
• Warping messages — both outgoing requests and server-switch confirmations.
• Empty messages that leave blank lines.
• Powder Mining and Winter Gift event spam.

Enable only the ones that bother you. If a message you want gone isn't listed, check the broader "Other messages" toggles — many uncategorised lines live there.

Tips

If you hide too much and lose useful info, re-open /sh and re-enable individual toggles rather than disabling the whole filter. The filter is client-side only, so it never affects what other players see.
